Frame by Frame – A Visual Passage Through Morocco

April 26 to May 5, 2026 | 10 days 9 nights | Tangier to Essaouira

Slow down. See deeper. Photograph with intention.

Frame by Frame is an immersive photography and cultural journey through Morocco’s north and Atlantic coast from the cinematic crossroads of Tangier to the wind-washed shores of Essaouira. Designed for photographers who want more than snapshots, this tour invites you to move thoughtfully through medinas, markets, ports, and quiet moments where light, people, and place converge.

We’ll work frame by frame learning to anticipate light, build portraits with presence, and tell visual stories rooted in connection. Expect guided shooting sessions, gentle critiques, and hands-on coaching that meet you where you are, whether you shoot mirrorless, DSLR, or phone. Along the way, we’ll explore colour and texture in Chefchaouen, layered histories in Fes, everyday life along the Atlantic, and the poetic in-between moments that make Morocco unforgettable.

This is not a rush from location to location. It’s a curated passage with intent, soulful, and creatively expansive where travel becomes practice and every image becomes a conversation.

Come ready to see differently, create with purpose, and leave with a body of work and an experience that stays with you long after the journey ends.  Come see why I first travelled to Morocco in 2018 and keep going back.

Stop at an argan cooperative

Optional

Stopping at an argan cooperative gives you a close look at one of Morocco’s most treasured natural products. Argan comes from a hardy tree that grows only in this corner of the world. The nuts are cracked by hand, and the oil is slowly pressed to create two things. One is a rich culinary oil with a warm, nutty flavor. The other is a cosmetic oil that Moroccans have used for generations on skin and hair.

We partner with a small cooperative that is truly responsible and fair, which is not always the case. The women who work here earn steady income, set their own hours, and share in the benefits. Your visit supports their work and offers a genuine window into daily life in the region.

South of Essaouira, you may spot goats climbing into argan trees along the roadside. They balance on the branches to eat the fruit, creating one of Morocco’s most surprising everyday scenes. It is a quick stop and a fun photo moment that reflects how people and animals adapt to the landscape. You see this most often in the countryside between Essaouira and Agadir, especially in the morning.

Monday, May 4

Spend the day exploring the relaxed seaside town of Essaouira. With its breezy coastal air, whitewashed buildings, and blue shutters, the medina feels both timeless and welcoming.
